Goldfuss update (March 9)

Dear Praying Friends,

PRAYER REQUESTS:
  • Pray for Teresa's grandson Jonathan. He is only 15 and they just placed him in a drug and alcohol rehab place.
  • Pray for Guille. There was a big problem this week when at the last minute Alejandro got angry when the ladies' meeting was at his house on Saturday. He had said last week that it wouldn't be a problem. Please also pray for Christian's (their youngest son) salvation.
  • Pray for Jesus and his family. They were in church again today. He will be going into the hospital on Friday for his first hip replacement. They are going to be having some difficulties. Please pray for our church to be able to be a blessing to them during this time.
  • Pray for the men's meeting this coming Saturday.
  • Pray for Martha. Her husband has been drunk and on drugs and breaking windows again in her room. She is very concerned for her safety and seeking a place to go to be safe. We are trying to keep daily tabs on her. Please continue to pray for her.
PRAISES:
  • A good ladies' meeting yesterday (Saturday.) The lesson was on learning to live above our circumstances.
  • The two young men who are preaching on Wed. nights (Morgan and Humberto.) Pray for Mike to have wisdom in helping them.
  • Excellent attendances the past two weeks.
  • Thank the Lord that we have finished our series on the family and ask Him to bring lasting results from it.
Several months ago we met a Christian family in another part of Mexico. In talking to them, they mentioned the possibility of getting some of our messages on the radio. Pray that the Lord's will would be done in that. It would truly be incredible to be able to reach this huge city with some type of radio broadcast.

We thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement,

In Christ,
Mike for all the Goldfi

Hello, Goldfii! (Mike, I apologize. To me it just looks better with two "i".)

This is Julie from Faithie's graduating class. Donnie is trying to corral us all into a reunion this year. Not that we're 20 years older or anything. He wasn't able to get through to you with Mike's former Hotmail addy, so I found this one and sent it to him. So when he finds you...it's my fault.

I trust you're all well and I've enjoyed reading Mike's updates here on the site. In a fit of nostalgia I looked up recordings of our class song online and found this lovely arrangement. If you have speakers, you may enjoy listening to http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=fa48a8f4e25eb55c566e. Please note that some of the adverts on the site are a little "rah rah Jesus" (uh..."GodTube"? Seriously?) and really not my taste. But the peaceful arrangement of "our song" is really quiet and nice. Yeah, I cried.

Anyhow...don't be surprised if you get a note from Don. Hope you all are well and I look forward to reading the next Goldfuss update.

Love,
Jules.
