Goldfuss update

Dear prayer Partners,

This week has been a week of fevers!

1.  Cara went to gymnastics on Thursday and took her new book bag which had a verse on it that she bought at our new bookstore.  Her friend, Greta, really liked the book at and told her that she wanted to visit our church.  Cara came out of the class with a high fever, but was not concerned much about that.  The first thing that I see is my tomato red child's face--so happy telling me that she invited her friend to church-- and was that ok? . It turns out that Cara had strep throat!  Please pray that Greta and her mom Viri will come to church.

2.  On Friday, some ladies came to my house, and we had a spontaneous prayer meeting for the men's meeting later that night.  The men's meeting went very well.  To be able to help others, Mike had them work through a counseling case and it was received very well.

3.  We have had 9 different new people be faithful for the last 3 weeks.  Please keep praying for their salvation.

4.  On a very sad note, Mike has been dealing with a man who we mentioned in the last letter.  He is the father of a very nice family who goes outs of their way to help others.  He is struggling with the grace of God in his life and has recently been insisting that Mike preach extra-Biblical things.  He wants a set of rules.  Ironically, he will not obey the Lord in basic things like baptism.  They have come out of a cult called “The Perfects”—not a joke.  Please pray for the Lord to work in this situation and glorify His name.

5.  Mike also just found out that he needs to have some suspicious spots removed on his back.  They are not cancer but pre-cancerous.

On the home front:

1.  Grades are in!!! School is done!!!!

2.  Cheri and Matt also got strep throat!

3.  Cristi made a sign for the new Bible bookstore (pictured).

4.  The electricity went out again as it always does, but this time the generator was hooked up wrong.  The microwave and the kids' Wii (that a wonderful aunt and uncle bought them) BLEW UP!!!! - Big sparks and all!

Thank you for praying,

Faith for the Goldfusses
