Goldfuss update:
1. First of all, thank you so much for praying for a calmness about school. We had a very good week.
2. A very hard trial for one of our children. We had to decline an important activity on Sunday. The result was 1.) Unsaved parents thinking that I was an idiot. 2.) Growth in our very young child. The Lord worked in her heart to yield that child to whatever the Lord wanted. ---Yea! 3.) The Gospel given 4 different times to good friends who were pleading on behalf of our child. I got to share that this is not a work to be right with God, but a desire to just put God first over anything else. Through this: 4.) One friend opened up about her son who is being rebellious. She just cried. She accepted the offer that I will be giving her a good book from our bookstore. She also accepted an invitation to our ladies’ seminar coming up on April 12th. Praise the Lord! This whole thing was a blessing and exhausting.
3. Lilli from our church (about 30 yrs. old) can hardly move from her rheumatoid arthritis. Her children have stopped going to school in order to stay home to help her.
4. Today I was taking Mikey and Carissa down to a basketball game when I looked over and saw a dead body not 10 feet from our car. I said, "He looks dead. He looks REALLY dead." And I just kept on driving. Two young officers were standing at a distance from the body. They looked like they were nervous and just waiting for someone to come and pick up the body. Later today when I mentioned it to a friend who lives near the incident, she said, "Yeah, I heard about it. They shot him in the head." Yes, that is the one we saw. What bothered me later on was that it really didn't faze us. We even forgot to tell Mike when we got home. We see a lot here, but the truth is that the need is urgent. People are dying without a Savior. Please pray that the Lord would enable us to do more for Him and that many more would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
In Christ,
Faith
