Goldfuss update

Dear Prayer Partners,

Praises:

1.  I enjoyed my time with my family for my mother's 80th birthday.  It was so nice to be there for that special time with everyone.  Mom’s church surprised her with another birthday party (she had 3 all together). I gave a report on Mexico, they had a children's ministry, and then my cousin, Cindi Grover, reported on her work in Cameroon.  After all of that, they surprised my mom with a birthday cake!

2.  Our own church people here at Padierna Bible Church have rallied and are really preparing for VBS.  About 55 people shared a meal last Sunday afternoon and then passed out invitations for VBS.  It was a great time of fellowship!  Many are setting aside time to pray in preparation for this children's ministry.

Prayer Requests:

1.  Men's meeting this Friday night.  August 2nd.  The men are beginning to study a book called --"The Exemplary Husband".

2.  This Sunday. August 4th-will be another time for an after church meal and a time to pass out invitations for Vacation Bible School.

3.  Mikey, Cristi, and Carissa arrive --August 5 th.

4.  VBS--Aug. 6-8th.  Mikey is leading all of the action!

5.  School begins--Aug. 12

This will be our busiest year yet:

                       Mikey--12th grade

                       Cristi--10th grade

                       Carissa--9th grade

                       Matt--5th grade

                       Cheri--4th grade

                       Cara--1st grade

Please pray for wisdom and patience.  Since we do not have a teacher, the oldest three will each be helping with one class for each of the younger three.

6.  A lady up here by our home has been talking about opening a meeting place that she owns and asking Mike to begin a Bible study there.   Please pray for the Lord's will regarding this.  There is a group that does not feel as if they are being fed in a church that they are attending.  The Gospel is not clearly preached, and the Pastor is more focused on getting money from the people and raising money for the church.  The ones that want the Bible study are almost entirely ones that have been asked to leave the church by their pastor for confronting him.

7.  That we would seek contentment in Christ alone and not in what we think that we need to have to be happy.

8.  We are happy to announce that we are now officially permanent residents of Mexico!!  This is a huge prayer request that was answered by being downtown in immigration for one day.  The prayer request lies in that we are now waiting for permission for Mike to take our van up to the border to sell it in the States since we are no longer be able to have an American vehicle.  Pray for the Lord to work out the details and for His leading as we’ll have to buy something here in Mexico.

Thank you again for praying for us and for giving so that we can be here.  You have such a big part in the Lord's ministry here through your prayers.

Faith
